Norm Patrick is the noted founder of Gator Racing News newspaper. Patrick is an Electrician by trade but at an early age his passion for racing found him selling photos and novelties at upstate New York race
tracks.
In the mid-sixties that passion lead to the founding of Gater Racing Photo News along with partner David Wright. Norm and his wife Donna would take over full ownership when David decided to go into the magazine business. Norm's son Joe assumed the leadership role and was found on a given night during the summer riding along in the Gater Racing News pace car willing to relive memories as the paper prepared to celebrate it's 50th anniversary.
Sadly Gator Racing News closed its doors mid-season in 2014 due to sudden demise of the company that printed the paper for them. |
